Product of a cultural upbringing, self taught multi-instrumentalist Marcus Alan Ward spent his middle and high school days in and out of bands, later discovering and being exposed to jazz, soul, hip hop, electronic music, and more obscure sounds in college. Ward began crafting music as a solo project in May of 2011 and debuted his project with dance based single Tidal Wave in September 2011. Simultaneously giving himself and the world a birthday present, his debut EP WLDFLWR_HNY was released on his birthday in January 2012, garnering early buzz locally, nationally, and internationally. The artist solidified his sound and building buzz with the release of ambient rnb/post hip-hop hybrid the Eskimo EP in April of 2013.
Currently at work on his debut album, with the first single "You Do", debuting on

pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/16522-freeze-tag-you-do/). He remains influenced by a large range of prog rock, electronic, soul, hip-hop, and avant-garde music. Ward continues to pursue honest artistic expression and spread his dubbed prisma-chromatic, futuristic soul sound. The Cleveland,Ohio artist masterfully combines light electronics with sensual R&B flavors.
